"Piffinger Köpfl"! Owner and manager, Otto,
and his family welcome you as their guests.
In late fall of 1994, the Piffing Chalet in Meran 2000 was completely destroyed by fire. My family and I decided to purchase the burned down chalet in 1997. In just 6 months, we were able to rebuild it. With the new birth of our mountain lodge, we decided to rename it the “Piffinger Köpfl Bergasthof” (Piffinger-Peak Mountain Lodge). We chose the name “Piffinger Köpfl” because it was the name of this special spot many, many years ago.
Our lodge is finished in simple Tirolean style, to match the natural beauty of the Ortler mountains which surround us here.
The lodge interior ("Gaststube") is decorated with antique tools and skis which we have collected over the years. The wood on the inside of the lodge is over 300 years old and originated from an ancient cabin.
